GASPARILLA JERSEY FAQ
How can I purchase a jersey?
Lightning Full and Half STMs will have access to an exclusive presale at the Tampa Bay Sports Store at AMALIE Arena on Wednesday, January 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Additional jerseys will be made available for sale to the public on Thursday, January 18, at 12 p.m. EST both in store at AMALIE Arena and online at TampaBaySports.com, while supplies last.
Will this jersey be used on the ice?
No. The team will NOT wear this jersey on the ice. It was created as a fashion jersey exclusively for retail sale.
How many jerseys were produced?
Only 1,904 jerseys were produced to commemorate the first year (1904) Gasparilla was celebrated in Tampa. This is a limited-edition release as each adidas Lightning Gasparilla Jersey was custom made in Canada, at the same factory as the team’s NHL on-ice jerseys.
What material is the jersey made of?
The jersey is made of Air Knit fabric, a 100% polyester mesh. The front and shoulder patch crests are sewn on. There is no fight strap, as this is a retail-only jersey.
What is the retail price of the jersey?
The retail price of the jersey is $229.99.
$30 of each jersey sold will benefit Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and its “After Gasparilla Cleanup!” initiative. Learn more by visiting KeepTampaBayBeautiful.org.
Does the STM discount on the jersey apply in store?
Due to the charitable nature of the jersey, STM discounts will not be applicable on this item.
Can I customize the jersey with a name and number?
Only Lightning STMs who purchase a jersey at the in-store presale can customize their jersey with official Lightning Gasparilla twill lettering and numbers. Customization will not be offered to the public or to STMs after their presale to ensure delivery in time for Gasparilla.
What sizes do the jerseys come in?
Jerseys come in hockey sizes 46, 50, 52, 54, 56, and 60. Sizes will be available while supplies last.
SIZE CHART
Can I exchange my jersey for another size?
Due to the limited-edition nature of this drop, all jerseys are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged. We ask fans to review the size specs carefully before making an online purchase.
Why is this the first year a Gasparilla jersey has been available for sale?
Changes in the NHL’s on-ice warm-up jersey policy this season provided us with an opportunity to celebrate Gasparilla with a retail-only fashion jersey. In previous seasons, on-ice warm-up jerseys were not permitted to be sold at retail, except in conjunction with league-wide initiatives such as Military Appreciation and Hockey Fights Cancer.
